LAS VEGAS, NV 04/13/2007 Focus Enhancements, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in media management and Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, today announced that its industry standard Direct To Edit (DTE) technology is taking center stage in groundbreaking HD and DV workflow demonstrations throughout NAB 2007, April 16-19 in Las Vegas.
"Focus Enhancements and its partners are demonstrating specific solutions to help customers go from acquisition to delivery with the best tools, technology, and ROI available," said Matt McEwen, senior product manager for Focus Enhancements. "Content is still king, and DTE Technology® is the de facto acquisition standard for taking native video formats directly from the shoot to a nonlinear editing system. DTE streamlines the overall production process, resulting in significant time and cost savings."
With Focus Enhancements' industry-leading DTE Technology, videographers record drop out-free digital video directly from their HDV or DV camcorder. The DTE recorder then connects directly to editing systems through FireWire, allowing video professionals to edit content directly from the device. With its unparalleled speed and efficiency, Focus Enhancements' DTE recorders have become the industry standard for time-sensitive, in-the-field applications including independent film, sports, news, and live events.
The following DTE Recorders are on display throughout NAB2007:
FS-4 HD: The portable FS-4 HD and FS-4Pro HD provide HDV and DV camcorder owners with streamlined workflow from acquisition to editing. Available in 60GB (4.5 hours), 80GB (6 hours) or 100GB (7.5 hours) models, FS-4 HD and FS-4Pro HD are the ideal solution for use with popular DV and HDV camcorders from Sony, JVC, Canon, and Panasonic.
FS-C HD: The FS-C HD60 and FS-C HD100 portable DTE recorders are designed for use with the acclaimed Canon XL H1 HDV camcorder. Capable of recording 4.5 hours (FS-C HD60) or 7.5 hours (FS-C HD100) of 1080i HD or DV video, these devices can be mounted directly to the XL H1 using the included camera mount hardware and now include QuickTime HDV 1080i/50, 60, 24F, 25F and 30F recording capabilities.
