LOS ANGELES – December, 2006 – The Women In Film Foundation and its national presenting sponsor, General Motors Corporation, are currently accepting submissions for completion funds for narrative, documentary, educational, animated and experimental works by filmmakers and video makers who demonstrate advanced and innovative skills; and whose work relates to WIFF’s goals of increasing employment and promoting equal opportunities for women, enhancing the media image of women, and influencing prevailing attitudes and practices regarding and on behalf of women.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All independent producers and non-profit corporations are eligible to apply for completion funding for post-production services on an existing film or video. Eligibility is limited to projects that have completed principal photography and a rough cut at the time of application. Projects in development, pre-production, production, or the early stages of post-production will not be considered. No student projects, graduate or undergraduate, will be considered. You do not have to be a Women In Film member to apply. We accept applications from filmmakers around the world, but projects must be accessible to English-speaking audiences or, at a minimum, have English subtitles. Three (3) NTSC Region 1 DVD copies of the rough cut are required along with other supporting materials. Please go to www.wif.org to download an application and specific guidelines.

GRANTS AVAILABLE
CASH AWARDS: Unrestricted grants of up to $5,000 for completion of films or videotapes on subjects that meet the stated guidelines of the Women In Film Foundation; or
IN-KIND AWARDS: On-line editing, sound editing and other post-production services are awarded in several cities, including Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC (some restrictions may apply).
