LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Designing home-made costumes for Halloween this year? Then you may also want to try your hand at creating an entry for the new "100% Fan-Made" Fandango Bag Puppet Contest, where film fans will be rewarded for their most inventive and colorful creations.
Fandango, the nation's leading movie ticketing service, is celebrating the widespread fan following for its bag puppet campaign (now in its third year) with its "100% Fan-Made" contest.
The Grand Prize winner will receive movie tickets for a year, plus a role for his or her winning puppet in Fandango's 2006 advertising campaign. Runners-up will receive $250 worth of movie tickets. Contest details and examples of "Fan-Made" puppets can be found at http://contest.fandango.com (starting Thursday, October 6).
First introduced in 2003, the colorful Fandango Bag Puppets took on a life of their own, with hundreds of fans contacting Fandango with examples of their own home-made creations. To date, the puppets have inspired Halloween costumes, school art projects, short film spoofs and even museums events. And so the concept for the "100% Fan-Made" contest was born.
To enter the contest, Bag Puppet-makers should email digital photos of their creations to contest@fandango.com no later than Halloween morning (October 31, 2005, 9:00 a.m. PST). Fans will be able to vote online for their favorite "100% Fan-Made" puppet candidates during the first weeks of November, and winners will be announced on November 19, 2005.
