Irene Taylor Brodsky director of the Sundance documentary "Hear and Now". Irene's film won the Sundance Audience Award: Documentary. The film follows Irene's parents as the undergo cochlear implant surgury to restore their hearing after 60 years of silence.

I watched this documentary this morning on television, and was deeply touched by it's message.
It was easy to identify with the family, as if they are my own. I felt a whole plethora of emotion throughout, including my share of tears.
I recommend everyone see this film!
Hear and Now is Beautiful! Thank You! Our Hearing Loss Assoc. of America, Mission Viejo Chapter, CA, would like to show this moving, inspirational documentary to our members. I also lead the Hard of Hearing Ministry at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA (Pastor Rick Warren's Church), and would like to show it to our members. The deaf ministry is also interested. How can we get a captioned DVD of this heart-warming film? I understand it is not for sale at the present time. Thank you, Lola Attinger
As a child I learnt sign language to be able to talk to my Great Uncle Bob who became completely deaf at the age of 22. Watching this wonderful programme made me think about what is important in life, that is family and friends. My best regards to the Taylor Family.

Is it possible to buy this dvd in England.? I watched it on Tuesday night on more 4 t.v. I would love to have a copy.
